Roots Donates Warm Jackets to Residents Displaced by Fire

This past summer approximately 1,500 residents of a high-rise complex in Toronto’s St. James Town neighbourhood were displaced following a six-alarm blaze. A large percentage of residents were without renters insurance and lost many of their belongings including clothing.

We would like to extend a warm thank you to our Brands For Canada donors especially ROOTS Canada for the great donation of winter coats for families displaced by the fire at 650 Parliament. Coats will be provided to residents living below the poverty line.

Brands For Canada receives new and surplus goods from over 200 brand retailers and donates the products for free to the 1 out of every 7 Canadian families who live below the poverty line. It’s donations like this from Roots Canada that allow us to help those in need.

Thank you Roots for being a brand for Canada!
